Farewell from Rebel & Angel's Book Reviews and Promos

Rebel & Angel's
Book Reviews and Promos
Closing Down.

This was not an easy decision to make as we have had a lot of fun with R&A,
but sadly, we can no longer continue with the blog. There is no squabbling or hard feelings among those of us involved in R&A. Kat and I have been friends a long time and will continue our friendship. Deb and Melissa are wonderful new friends I made through the book community and I will continue to cherish their friendship.

We thank everyone who has helped and supported us in this endeavor. We have met some fabulous authors, bloggers, reviewers, and readers. Made new friends. Read many fantastic books. Gave away a lot of books and swag.
Made new friends. (Yes, I wrote that twice!)

I (Donna) will continue with Wise Owls PR and support authors from there. Melissa, Deb, and Kat will post on that page too. I hope to see some of you over on Wise Owls PR .

See you around,
Donna and Kat

Pretty Stolen Dolls by Ker Dukey & K. Webster is LIVE! #ReleaseBlitz #Giveaway @KerDukeyauthor @KristiWebster #dark #RomanticSuspense

Title: Pretty Stolen Dolls
Authors: Ker Dukey & K Webster
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: September 26, 2016

***This is a dark title with adult themes.***

Benny loves his pretty little dolls.
As long as they do exactly as they’re told.
He keeps them perfect by brushing their hair
and gives them pretty dresses to wear.
He likes to toy with them late at night.
One so timid but the other likes to fight.
When his favorite doll runs away…
despite the other doll promising to stay,
his heart becomes broken and he can’t help but cry.
He wants her back home or his pretty little doll must die.
Have you ever had to make a decision that haunts you every single day for the rest of your life…the life you stole back?
I have.
I ran for my survival, rocks and twigs cutting into the soles of my feet, my lungs burning and screaming for rest, every muscle tensed and fighting along with me for existence.
I left her.
I ran, ran, ran—from Benny and his lone, pretty little doll—until I couldn’t remember where to find them again.
I’m sorry.

About Ker Dukey

My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of you seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles...prepare for the unexpected. I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters growing up. My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling. When I'm not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I'm a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.

About K. Webster

K Webster is the author of dozens romance books in many different genres including contemporary romance, historical romance, paranormal romance, and erotic romance. When not spending time with her husband of twelve years and two adorable children, she’s active on social media connecting with her readers. Her other passions besides writing include reading and graphic design. K can always be found in front of her computer chasing her next idea and taking action. She looks forward to the day when she will see one of her titles on the big screen. You can easily find K Webster on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Goodreads! Website: Newsletter:

REVIEWS: Reality Girl by Jessica Hildreth @HildrethJessica @ScottDHildreth #teamHildreth #99c Kat's Review Melissa's Review #RealityGirl

Recently out of college, broke, jobless, and without a boyfriend, Lou Whitson is recognized by a talent scout at a football game, and then offered the opportunity of a lifetime.

To be the star of a reality television show. Along with it, $500,000 in prize money.

There is a catch, but it isn't much. Especially considering her life's lack of love.

Live with six different men, one a month, for six months. Then, pick one to marry for an additional $500,000.

A Navy SEAL, a biker, a jock, a surfer, a business man, and a billionaire. Without hesitation, she agrees.

This is her story. It's smoking hot, sexy, funny, and will take place at the pace of one book a month for six months. Each book has a satisfying ending (never a cliffhanger) that will leave you grinning for more.

So, I am thinking, "Okay, Another one of those types of mini-series books." I figured I knew what to expect. But, see, I should have known differently, because Scott Hildreth had his hand in this one, helping his wife, and if HE has anything to do with it, he ISN'T going to let it be TYPICAL. And then there is also, Jessica! She is by no means TYPICAL, herself! ;)

So, queue the fun and the different! Reality game show meets "reality." That's what I see...but I am hanging on to see what Jessica has in store for us from month-to-month as each male contestant comes into the house to rock Lou's world.

For sure, she gave us a little surprise in this one! :) I am sure she will have another in the next one too! :) My mind is already wondering on so many possibilities...and I have a big imagination! ;)

Reality Girl: Episode One by Jessica Hildreth is her debut romance novella. Reality Girl is going to be a six part collection of novellas that will need to be read as the series to understand what is happening. Jessica Hildreth has written a sweet story about how being willing to join the crazy idea of a reality show hopefully can lead to an unexpected love.

Lou Whitson is a girl who needs a break on a lot of levels. She has a strong sense of herself and decides to try the show idea for “Reality Sucks”. The six guys are a Navy SEAL, a biker, a jock, a surfer, a business man, and a billionaire. Fun and, yeah, Lou thinks.

The episodes are not ending with cliffhangers-Episode One ends with the end of Lou’s time with the guy for the first month of shows. I enjoyed Jessica Hildreth’s storytelling. Jessica Hildreth’s secondary characters are fun and need to be paid attention to. If you want hot fun, give this series a try. I know I enjoyed this story very much; can’t wait for Episode Two.

Thanks Jessica Hildreth & Good Writing

Scott and Jessica met long, long ago in a romantic donut shop in Wichita, Kansas. They have been inseparable since that fateful day and are now happily married and reside in Naples, Florida.

They have 6 kids and Scott plans on having one more, although Jessica isn't quite convinced. In their spare time, they enjoy drinking coffee, making ridiculous live feeds and when they can, escaping for a joyride on Scott's motorcycle.

Scott has always been the writer and Jessica has always been the graphic artist, but now they are combining forces and trying their hands at collaborative writing.

Release Tour w/Review: For the Love of English by A.M. Hargrove @Amhargrove1 Melissa's Review

For The Love of English by A.M. Hargrove Release Date: September 15th, 2016

From USA Today Bestselling Author, A.M. Hargrove, comes a New Adult, Single Dad, Sexy, Stand Alone Romance.

Single dad, Beckley Bridges, is sexy as hell. No, really, he’s the hottest thing since the sun was created. Honest to God, crack an egg on him and the thing will sizzle. So what’s the problem? He’s also a gigantic jerk. I hate the bastard. I try to avoid him at all costs. But for some reason, everywhere I go he seems to show up. Only the real issue is his daughter, English. She’s an adorable quirky first-grader who’s the sweetest thing since iced tea. And she’s one of my students but also the love of his life. So I have to deal with him on a professional level. It’s not easy. On a scale of easy to hard, dealing with Beckley Bridges is like nails screeching across a blackboard. But when English’s mother tries to gain custody after abandoning her on Beckley’s doorstep as an infant, he’ll do anything possible to keep English under his roof. That’s how he ends up propositioning me. And crazy as it sounds? I find myself considering it. This is a full-length novel that includes mature content not suitable younger readers.

5 Stars

For The Love Of English by A.M. Hargrove is a sweet standalone read in the New Adult Romance area. A. M. Hargrove is a new-to-me storyteller. I was given For the Love of English in order to be introduced to A. M. Hargrove’s wonderful storytelling style.

Beckley Bridges has been a single dad from the age of 19. His daughter, English, was left on his doorstep with a note and the paperwork for him to have sole custody. Not a problem, it was love at first sight and the rest of his focus is "for the love of English."

Sheridan Monroe, a first year teacher, has had a struggle from her teens to get to the career she has known was for her. First graders are a full attention job each and everyday. She knows she should not have a favorite student but English Bridges steals her heart.

A. M. Hargrove takes us on the roller-coaster ride of what two people end up doing for "the love of English."  It is at points, funny, heart breaking, surprising discoveries of what will be done to a keep English a happy child. The secondary characters are an important part of what makes this a wonderful page turner. It is intended for older readers because it has hot events. I am glad I have met A. M. Hargrove. I really enjoyed For The Love Of English, you should check out this story for a great escape read with wonderful characters.

Thanks, A. M. Hargrove, and good writing!

One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, USA Today bestselling author, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life. So she made a quick decision to quit her job and reinvented herself as a Naughty and Nice Romance Author.
She fancies herself all of the following: Reader, Writer, Dark Chocolate Lover, Ice Cream Worshipper, Coffee Drinker (swears the coffee, chocolate, and ice cream should be added as part of the USDA food groups), Lover of Grey Goose (and an extra dirty martini), #WalterThePuppy Lover, and if you’re ever around her for more than five minutes, you’ll find out she’s a non-stop talker.

Cecilia London drew me in quickly to the first four books of this beautiful, yet, heart wrenching saga and now to finally have gotten my hands on this fifth installment, I had to stop what I was reading to continue my obsession into this world to finally see where Cecilia, Jack and Caroline would take me.

FINALLY, my heart has some relief as Caroline has emotionally found her way back to Jack, even though Caroline has a long way to go to still be emotionally healed from all that the Fed put her through. But, it is a huge start.

Jack, in despair, almost gave up, thinking he could never get his one true love back, but with support from the only doctor/therapist on base, he made it through the storm and helped Caroline break down her walls.

Now the rebellion needs to do what it can to get their government back from a megalomaniac who has taken over the United States, lied to it's people, and done unspeakable things to so many and broken so many laws along the way. It's now up to Caroline to strengthen herself to be able to do what needs to be done to help in that cause with Jack by her side leading the rebellion.

Not only is this a heartbreaking, yet beautiful love story, it digs deep into friends and family bonds, the love of country, what is right and wrong, knowing when you have to sacrifice for the good of all, and when that sacrifice is paid...can you handle it?

With the state that our country is in, this is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED read. It makes you REALLY think, "This could REALLY HAPPEN!"

Bravo, Cecilia! Bravo! I am on pins and needles awaiting the final installment coming in 2017, Triump. The title says it all!
